Is this design good enough for a dub tub?

Is this design with only 2x 1.5in holes on on the sides good enough or should I add more holes?

I thought the point of dubtubs were that you get FAE from the gaps vs having to make your own holes?

Have you seen bods tek for shoe boxes? Just puts a bag over the top and pokes a couple holes instead of using a whole other tub.

That doesn't sound very effective if I'm gonna have a bunch of these chambers in a small area.

No need for the hole. If u clip it the way I do it leaves a gap along the long sides

This is off topic but i wanna say it anyway. I've had a terrible headache all day and didn't get shit done today. A few moments ago I realized it's because I haven't had any coffee today. I'm highly addicted to coffee. It really sucks.

What do the clips do that allows you to fruit without any holes?

Nothing u don’t even need the clips. It just holds the top in place. There should be a little gap between the tubs on the long sides so I clip it on the short sides. This should allow plenty of air in the box for fruiting.

I noticed you don't have a 4in sub. Does it make much of difference to use more substrate?

This is how it looks long ways you so can see the space between the tubs

I don’t fan and normally only have to mist once depending on the surface conditions once it’s colonized. I normally use 1 qt spawn to 2 qt coir/verm which puts it at around 2.5 inches deep.

Close to a oz first flush depending on genetics and other factors. Sometimes I don’t get that much and sometimes I get more. Some people just leave them in the tubs with lids on the whole time.

What do you mean? Having the extra tub on top is a waste of space and resources.

I can stack dub tubs. I cannot stack single tubs with a bag over it.

Stack tubs with the lid on em. If you have em in rotation you can add the dub tub to the most mature ones when necessary. If I were to dubtub I would wait until the pinset develops. Don't drill holes in shoeboxes.
