Should there be a special olympics for roid monkeys and pharma athletes?

I really think so, yes.

Enhanced Athletics in my view should be a natural branch of sports.

I think its arbitrary that an athlete can legally drink 10 cups of coffee or take 10,000x the RDI of Vitamin B12 but is not allowed to take a steroid that doubles his testosterone.

They should have drunk olympics. It might look a lot like this.

Without parameters though, athletes will push it to the extreme and until they experience extreme physical side effects.

Might as well bring back gladiators and have them fight to the death for our entertainment.

Then they suffer diminished athletic performance and will no longer be the best.

Riding the tour de france without drugs, up and down mountains in hot summer, a hundred miles a day, that in itself is inherently a demolition derby for the body, it is wholely not healthy, as is being as fast as Usain Bolt is.

If you're wrecking yourself anyway, you might as well have a steroid to aid your recovery.

I mean there are various fighting sports where you are supposed to hit people very hard in the head and sometimes they die.

I totally get it, but even in these sports parameters/rules are implemented for safety. Certain types of "hits" in football are illegal, soccer kicks to a grounded opponent (in some organizations) of MMA. We still draw the line somewhere, and that is part of the rationale for banning steroids.

Understood. But similar to my point above, we still have rules etc. (in part) for athlete safety. Might as well totally extreme leagues where there are no rules, safety equipment etc.

 id like to add to this by suggesting that the worst(voilent) criminals be forced to it(no overpopulation of prisons, less money to take care of said prisoners, and quality entertainment) :house:

Edit: id also bet money that, if implemented, crime rates for said crimes would go waaaay down.

I'm a reasonable fan of cycling and Lance Armstrong is a hero of mine. They should let these guys run themselves to death if they so choose.

Yeah, the LSD baseball players have to be epic, and who knows what other sports might benefit. Or even the ones that fail spectacularly could be awesome and super entertaining.

No it pushes it into the fucked up level. We would have people lit blowing out their bodies. I wanna see top level athletic competition not someone fucking die. It has to be somewhat natural to remain fair and ethical.
