Is this tinnitus? * 1
    #26375095 - 12/11/19 01:35 PM (4 years, 6 months ago)

People describe it as 'ringing in the ears'

But what I experience is more akin to when you accidently call a fax machine number, or that old dial up internet noise, but way faster and goes on for hours... Sounds very digital.

Weird thing is, I actually kind of enjoy it, if I focus on it I can legit get into a nifty trance state, I've even got to the point of full blown out of body experiences.

I can even make it happen on purpose if I want, usually right when I'm on the brink of falling asleep.

This only started happening just over a year ago.

Do you go to a lot of concerts and not wear earplugs? Have you ever? Do you play any instruments hooked up to amps and play at volume 11? Do you live ear heavy construction sites? do you plug your ears when a firetruck or ambulance goes by? All these things can cause hearing/ear damage.

I used to go to punk/metal shows all the time, didn't usually wear earplugs.. Also played the drums in a few punk bands, we were loud lol ..most of my jobs have been heavy construction or factory work, but we always wear earplugs.

I wouldn't doubt I have hearing damage from all those shows lol.. Its just such a weird sound, not your typical ear ringing.

Very interesting.

This may seem very far out to you, but it sounds like a symptom of the Ascension Process:

Quote:

Changes in hearing or sensitivity to sound; hearing strange sounds, tones and frequencies in your ears; whooshing, buzzing or ear popping/pressure.

https://ascensionsymptoms.com/

The Ascension Process is supposed to be starting around this year or next year. It effects everyone differently apparently.

There's your answer! Also the job you wear plugs at, noise can still get in there. I wear plugs to every single show now, even at a small bar type place. I have some tinnitus as well.

I have tendentious in my ears, too. It is like a high pitched buzzing all the time.
I am used to it. I wore earplugs for the van halen concert, but none of the other ones.

Tendinitis is inflammation or irritation of a tendon — the thick fibrous cords that attach muscle to bone. The condition causes pain and tenderness just outside a joint. While tendinitis can occur in any of your tendons, it's most common around your shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and heels.Dec

So if is indeed hearing damage, why the fuck can I make it happen on purpose?... I can even control the intensity/pitch/speed at times and have out of body experiences and shit because of it, is that normal for tinnitus sufferers?

I mean not saying it's not hearing damage, but :ancientaliens:

Tinnitus is as much a nerve response problem as it is a mechanical one in the ear. Psychedelics stop my tinnitus as well, but other than that it goes all the time. Sometimes louder than others, sometimes rising in tone like a DMT rush, sometimes suddenly loud then fading.

I met a chick who has nerve related tinnitus that got so loud she couldn't tell wtf is going on. Just mad clanging bells and whining that made it impossible for her to hear properly. Ended up getting special hearing aids that make it so she can hear again. Science eh.

Interesting.

I can definitely compare it to the sound right after a heavy rip of dmt... Still can't fathom why I can induce it by will though.

Luckily it doesn't ever seem to happen during the day while I'm at work or anything, doesn't interfere with my life in a negative way mostly, it's just unsettling, like a UFO just landed outside my house or something lol... Such a 'sci-fi' digital weirdness to it.

If you ever want to show someone what it's like to have tinnitus just buy one of those arc lighters. I have one and that's mostly why I stopped using it. Lol. I remember something I read recently about your nervous system being expressed as a sound. Like they were listening to it. And it made me wonder, maybe that's what some cases of tinnitus are. Just like how some people can hear themselves blink or the blood rushing about the body.

Wow. This might explain those visual "things" a while back out of nowhere and I thought I was going to go blind randomly. Also last night right before work it felt like my core temp sky rocketed and my stomach just curdled. Then it went away about an hour later with no effects and I felt fine(also note I did not eat during work so it couldnt have been bad food). Was very strange.
