Difference in efficiency between 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 quarts of spawn?

So I always hear commonly that you get between 1-2 ounces of dried product per quart of spawn used... but I hear people saying they are getting 4 ounces dry from only using a few quarts...
What does spawn really mean... does it just mean that it can colonize the substrate faster? Does it change the amount of pins you can have on a surface? Does it increase the amount of flushes you can have before contam sets in due to spent substrate? Obviously you would be getting more nutrition since there are more grain. But what would be most efficient for a 66 qt tub as for example...

Spawn is food. More food per tub means more per tub. More bulk means more food per qt. So say you have 10 qts of spawn. You put five of them into a 66 at tub at a ratio of 1:2 Spawn to bulk. The other five you spawn at 1:4 in smaller tubs. You will likely notice you get a heavy dense pinset in your big tub and not so dense in your smaller ones but your smaller ones got more mushrooms total. It's a basic principle more food more water more mushrooms. The key here is to figure out for yourself what's worth more, the qt of mycelium or space the tub takes up. Could squeeze a few more mushrooms at 1:4 but could get far more per tub at 1:2

It doesn't matter what i think of you...all that matters is clean spawn I'm tired do me a favor

Sorry it took so long to give a response... I was looking for the point I was trying to make... lol.
So in this thread, pasty talks about how he usually yields 2400 grams wet from 3-4 quarts in a 66 qt monotub...

Pastywhyte said: I dunno this is the first one I’ve done. Usually do 4 quarts spawn but this run had a jar crack in the sterilizer so it only got 3 quarts. My 4 quart spawn monos have been typically doing around 2400 grams wet first flush but this looks to be on par with that.
My biggest yield from any one flush has been no more than 1450, and I used 6 qts of spawn. So Im just curious why he uses such little spawn and gets fantastic yield? would that imply you could get 4800 grams wet from 6 qts?

he has epic clones as well and mad skillz
1450 is nothing to be ashamed of dude...but cloning some good cluster fruits from a good dense producing variety may help you find a real winner

So its better to take a clone from the biggest one of a large cluster rather than a monster single fruit?

I typically select monsters, but with these PE varieties I'm working on now I will run multiple clone cultures and find out which are producers and which are muy potent. Tryna find the best of both traits to be my bottom bitch. Next I wanna cross the various PE with RW on the hunt for Rusty Dicks.
