I agree. A couple of years back, I got a phone call from the school so I had to answer. My wife was in the pub with all the other mothers, while the kids were at the school disco. My daughter wanted to come home, but the pub had no phone signal. So I got the call; I managed to drive about a mile to the school, go in, talk to the head teacher, and pick up my daughter. The energy it took though to come down took it out of me.
Had another last Friday where a delivery driver knocked during the trip’s peak. I sobered up for an hour, but then the trip started up again, and still strong!
Take care all, DJ Ed

Yeah that happens, but also sometimes the trip just stops dead. Not often, but once in a while. No external causes but likely some kind of internal one.
I've had trips where I was rolling along and given the opportunity to go through a sort of dimensional doorway but didn't do it. It seemed to me the trip went on somewhere but I was no longer part of it. When the opportunity opens up take it, don't wuss out!

I've had trips that are pretty much 'over' at the 4 hour mark. Usually it's because the dose isn't quite strong enough to keep the trip going, but I do remember one particular trip which started off really intense but then died off extremely abruptly right after the peak.
I find that the part of the trip after the peak has more of a euphoric, stimulating or manic vibe, and sometimes this feeling just doesn't materialize, and the trip fizzles out. I usually put it down to dose but there could be other reasons.
To avoid this I tend to split my doses 50/50 and take the second half between 60-90 minutes after the initial dose, depending how the trip is going. I find it smooths out the onset, gives the trip a boost when the redose kicks in, and extends the overall duration.
