ok, i live in south Germany.. i live on open land, and a lot of forrest too.. a lot of cows are kept everywhere.. now im wondering, if i go out looking.. (i dont have a pro to go with the first time) what types to expect to find.. where to look. i know cow patties are the place.. but cow patties in the shade? in the sun? in the field? or on rotten trees? of course, if i find ANYTHING, im going to post a picture of it b4 i do anyhting..
Germany abounds with Psilocybe semilanceata, Psilocybe cyanescens, Inocybe aeruginosa and Gymnopilus purpuratus.
I suggest looking for the first two species and ignore the Inocybes and the Gyumnopilus because of their relationship and sometimes resemblenmce to the deadly poisonous shrooms. Liberty caps are spread throughout Germany as are P. cyanescens.
