Pnw id help
    #26371433 - 12/09/19 05:00 PM (4 years, 2 months ago)

Friend in Washington has mushrooms all over the property but needs help with identifying them.

These last ones looked promising but got hit with some mower or whatever.

The second image seems to have its cap still attached to the stipe - any chance you can get spore prints of all of these?

Reishi, as in Ganoderma lucidium does not occur in our country at all  unless cultivated. It does grow on Hardwoods not Conifers.

We do have a similar mushroom Ganoderma oregonense which grows on Conifers and is much more Glossy. Polypores are not my Strong point so its really hard for me to put into words why I say F.pinicola
Has to do with the way the pore and cap texture just looks totally different than G.oregonense to me.

Hopefully a TI can confirm my ID because as I said Im not confident with polypores

Tell Brett that none of those is psychoactive. 1st and 3rd pic is Entoloma, second might be a Psathyrella and the 4th could be a Galerina.
