Unbelievable clearance sale going on as they stop selling self-defense ammo.

The guy that got there just after I did was pissed. :laugh2:

You probably could have gotten it cheaper online, anyway.

Just sayin'.

No.
They had Federal brass case 9mm FMJ boxes of 200 marked down to $14.
That is 7¢ a round. Can't beat that anywhere online.

They're clearing out.
Whatever they have left by their deadline they're donating to the Police Department.

The police have no business having guns.

They do as long as the average citizen has guns. Police need to be able to respond with proportional force, and in the US, that means average cops need the ability to defeat shooters.

If the average US citizen wasn't armed, then the average cop wouldn't need to be armed.

Nah, fuck that.  Police should have non-lethal weapons only for patrol.  Special units of police armed with lethal weapons could be called out for situations that require it.

Yeah, that makes sense, but only with a disarmed citizenry. The average cop in the US is likely to run into a guy with a gun that's pissed off at being arrested/pulled over/whatever. That cop needs to be able to respond with equal force. If the average citizen had nothing more dangerous than a knife or a bat, then a cop with a Billy club makes sense.

Gun owners force police to own guns. Because due to gun owners, literally every situation requires the potential for lethal force.

I disagree.  99% of police should not have the option of deadly force.  Off-duty, they can carry all they want, but on-duty, they should have only nonlethal means.

Situation unfold all to quickly.  Sadly that is why people 'respect' police.  Things unfold to fast and severe with police. I fear there will be no state run safety programs.

The state is pretty much death.  Call it religious, but it'll not be ideal soon.

It's been this way always.  Ego will never defeat ego, mind will not defeat mind.  That is the hell of existence.

Nah, cops need guns, because it's societal MAD theory. If a civilian can put people down with bullets at 400 yards, the cops need to be able to do the same.

I think by law a reciever is a firearm.  That looks like 80% of a firearm.

Correct. So long as the lower is at max 80% completed it is not considered a firearm and isn't require by federal law to be registered. All one has to do is drill out the 80% lower with the jigs that they provide and your own drill and you can completely assemble your own rifle without any registration or serial number. At least according to federal law, some states may require you to register after you have built it, but my guess is if you took the case to the supreme court you would be declared innocent according to federal law.

They should issue police 80% lowers and let them keep little drill presses in their squad car if they need to fully assemble. :naughty:

A lot of politicalization exists.  I read a study that said a cop is more likely to be struck by lightening on the job than injured mortally.

The media will never soon protray that fact.

Honestly, I hate to say it, but the above few posts are why I support cops having rifles in their cars, and to an extent, I understand/support cops shooting first and asking question later.

It's shitty, but it is the reality. You don't know if dude is about to blow you away, so shoot first.

I also support muggers committing shootings instead of muggings, for the same reason. You'd be a dumbass to flash a gun and take their wallet. You'll get shot that way. Walk up behind them, blow their head off, and take their wallet.

In US society, shoot first, ask questions later. Better to be judged by 12 than be carried by 6. Lawman or criminal. Blow their heads off.

Oh, well shit, then. Yeah.

As far as I know, that's not happening here in TN. I'd be all over it if it were, and I knew about it.

If I understand the law correctly, that is legal, but without a serial number, there is no way to transfer it legally, even if you die and someone inherits your entire estate, they can't legally own it. At least not the part of the gun that is legally the gun part, anyway.
