1 week spawned sub question

Hello everyone!!
I had 6 jars with fully colonised rye grains and one week ago transferred 4 of them to a minimono with no grain soak and 2 of them intro a shoe box soaking them before (i wanted to test this because i've read it's beneficial) and I covered the shoe box with plastic film and poked 3 wholes in it for gas exchange. Used coir verm gypsum. Also spawn ratio was 1:1 The minimono is doing well the mycelium started spreading but there is nothing happening in the shoebox at all. It had some condensation for the first 5 days and now it's all gone. I also kept it in a closed box in the closet. Were the 3 wholes too much for gas exchange? Is it the before soak the problem? The plastic film is too weak and it all evaporated? And the most important should i leave it like that or should I try putting it in fruiting conditions. Namaste and sorry for the noob questions.

Can you clarify what you mean by grain soak? You soaked the colonized grains?

2 things: why are you using plastic wrap for a lid? Almost sounds like you’re using a cardboard box?
And, more importantly, if you want lotsa answers, post pics.

Put everything in fruiting conditions.
The soaked grains will take longer to recover.

Sorry about the lack of photos Yes I tried to soak the colonised grains and i used a plastic film because it's not actually a shoebox so i had no cover for it.
the "shoebox" :

These are aerobic critters. No reason to cut off air supply. Always introduce to fruiting conditions from day 1 of spawning. Wait to soak until after the first flush.
Good luck

ok then, sorry I am new to this and my first try failed because (I supposed) i didn't allow the sub to colonise poperly before introducing to frutying conditions. I guess i will introduce them both to fruiting conditions. I'm a little bit confused but i will give it a try. Thank you!!! namaste

The shoebox has a very sour smell. Do you think it's still okay to try to fruit it? Thank you

So compared to the tub it was a strong sour smell. My concern is that the tub is starting to have the same smell. After i fae the smell is gone for a few mins then comes back. do you think it is ok? does it needs more fae?
