Help identifying some of these mushrooms
    #26370875 - 12/09/19 12:49 PM (4 years, 1 month ago)

Hi I was wondering if I could get some assistance identifying some of these mushrooms. The pictures aren't ideal, if anyone is interested and would like a picture from a specific angle please let me know. I may try to get some spore prints or tissue samples from them not sure yet. Located in central Texas.

I want to call it Xerula radicata. But that isn't a valid name anymore. One of the "xeruloid" mushrooms, maybe Hymenopellis incognita?

https://www.mushroomexpert.com/xeruloid.html

"Older field guides often combined Hymenopellis furfuracea with what have since been designated as separate species of Hymenopellis, in treatments of "Collybia radicata," "Oudemansiella radicata," and "Xerula radicata."

"Hymenopellis incognita is very similar in appearance to Hymenopellis furfuracea, Hymenopellis megalospora, and to the European species Hymenopellis radicata—but it can be separated from these look-alikes with microscopic analysis"

Oudemansiella furfuracea Hymenopellis is now what it is called,  but from what I understand there is still some debate.
