Is this suitable for transfer?

I’ve got a bunch of old T2s that looked clean before I even transferred to this plate but i have not had the time to transfer them again and they colonized the entire plate with thin whispy mycelium....
This was from ms also. I’m wondering if these (got 4 more just like it) are worth transferring to another plate or may maybe even using them to inoculate some grains?
This would only be my second time innoculating with agar first I put agar wedges to a LC and it bred some bacterial jars and I’m not sure if it was from the agar wedge or the transfer to the LC or from taking media out of the LC jar ... just want some clean spawn...

They say that the plate edges tend to be dirty, but IDK if that applies to pasty plates. For what it’s worth, I have not had any contam on me in 2ish months of cycling 32 of them. Had 4 1/2 pint agar jars contam in the same period.

No contams cycling 32 what, pastyplates or petris?
Dont people often cut a colonized plate into quarters and toss a while quarter into a jar?

Glad mini-rounds. Isn’t that what’s in your pic?

Yup it is! I was just confused because you had mentioned minirounds, petris and 1/2 pints so I wasn’t sure which one u were referring to...
Think I’m gonna go ahead then and cut one up into quarters and drop it in some grains...
Thanks for the help!

If you have mini rounds, just loosen the puck from the container and drop the whole thing in. Look up tiger drop. Imho the best part of pastys plates is that you can get them into jars with no tools, flaming, etc. Tiger drop, theres a cool ass video someone did its cool, munchazen I think.

Thats true and I never thought about that but I was kind of hoping to use one plate for the three jars I have sterilized right now...

Ahh, gotcha. If you use swabs from spore prints, you never need a tool or ever have to flame. Elastical tiger is who wrote the teks, I'm pretty sure, worth checking out if you use no pours

Sweet man ill have to check that out, just dont have to time atm... Just dont see how u would make transfers without tools...unless u dont...I'm obviously missing something...
I just started pouring agar too. Cant beat the Visibility and the stacking ability of petris!
But I only have 20 of them so I'll probably leave them for t2s and t3...
