Isolating Panaeolus Cyanescens
    #26370268 - 12/09/19 06:19 AM (4 years, 1 month ago)

Hi,

I'm in the process of isolating pan cyans on agar. The problem is, that it is not rhizomorphic at all so I don't know when I have reached that single isolate. Here are some pics after the 2nd transfer.

Also, on the first picture you can see a small brownish circle. I guess that is contamination. Would you use this dish to isolate to another one or toss it right away?

Thanks in advance!

An isolate takes 100s of transfers.

You are just looking for clean growth.

You may want use on petri per

That wiggly growth in the top left of the second plate doesnt look too good to me. That growth organization looks like mold rather than mycelium.

Can we get some top pics too.

Ok, I see. But then one single transfer should be enough, right? We're not trying to find great fruiters here, just trying to avoid contams?

Here you go (I had to kick the dish a bit to get the condensation off):

Yeah, I usually make one petri for 3 until I have an isolate and put that onto a single dish then
