Psilocybe species without actives

So I grew up in the south in Louisiana and frequently picked Psilocybe Cubensis in cow fields. I've heard rumors of there being a Psilocybe mushroom in the same fields which contain no active compounds at all. I also heard that this mushroom doesn't look much like any active species also. Anyone know anything about this? What is this mushroom called and what does it look like? does it have any benefit at all like 5-HTP or similar compounds?

You're probably talking about Deconica coprophila, which used to be known as Psilocybe coprophila. Not sure what alkaloids or other compounds it produces.

probably talking about a grass dwelling stropharia ive been decieved by a few of them in cow pastures. if im remembering correctly brown/purple/black spores mushrooms like the strophharia, psatherylla, panealous, deconica, and psilocybe were all at one time included in the same genus
not farmiliar with florida cow fields btw.. back on the tobacco again

I just know it was classified as a psilocybe mushroom and didn't look anything like Cubensis. A friend told me about it while we were out picking once.
Question: Has anyone ever traded you something for a Death Cap print? Oh and you should try ZYN to replace tobacco. I was a smoker since i was 14 and I quit a year ago at 28. I tried everything to stop smoking through the years and the only thing that has ever helped me quit was ZYN. It is pure crystallized nicotine in a pouch like what snus comes in. It comes in different flavors, my favorite is citrus but theres a lot of mint flavors and chocolate and coffee. It doesn't cause cancer, it's way cheaper than cigarettes and I breathe so much better now. Sometimes ill smoke Dokha for a little buzz but that's it.
