Storing old bacterial grains jars

I've got 4 qts of some bacterial jars of grain that have been colonized for about a month now. I wont have room in a tub for them for atleast another 2-3 weeks.
My question is: would it be wise to put them in the fridge or would doing so halt the mushroom mycelial growth and allow the bacteria to further gain a foot hold? Or would they be fine being spawned 2 months old?

I'm asking because I do not/ can not do any more tubs...
If was able to use more tubs I wouldn't be asking about how to store my spawn...
Thanks anyways

Either put em in the fridge, which is specifically for deterring bacterial growth on food, or try some novelty grows. Surely you have some sort of containers similar to tubs like bowls or unused sinks etc. If there's mo sid the use saran wrap. Hell I bet you could do something clever with just plastic bags somehow. Your choice, but dending on how bacterial they are this just seems a bit like a fools errand. Like saving rotting food to throw away later, ya know?

Just throw em out and make nice clean ones. Or top fruit them, case with a little coir and throw a zip lock on there
Youβll thank yourself later when you aren't throwing away a triched out tub.

The container thing is not an issue. If I had the space I would just go buy some shoeboxes or a small tub.
I've just got a very small area in my closet and my three tubs stacked up take up most of the room.
I could probably fit a couple shoe boxes in there but I donf know if my bottom tub would be getting enough light then...

I still want to try to fruit them normally. I dont think having slight amounts of bacteria present increase your odds of trich.... I could be wrong though.
I've seen way worse jars pump out some good flushes...

Fruit them or toss them, you have a month to make something better, so why settle?
The conditions in a jar favor the bacteria IE: high nutrition, low oxygen,
Bacterial spawn is absolutely more susceptible to trichoderma

I just throw some coir on the top of the jar and fruit em. I have found if I break it up and dump it out; it will go south long before I get any fruits so I just top with coir and have a better outcome.
