Crazy amount of moisture in spawn bags. ( pictures)
    #26366937 - 12/07/19 01:05 PM (4 years, 2 months ago)

The title really says it all. My spawn bags are experiencing crazy moisture in the bags after being broken up. I know this is relatively normal but is this an excessive amount? Ambient temp in my room is 76. The bags are not right next to each other and there is a fan circulating the temperature controlled air so that there aren’t cold/hot spots in my room.

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Ha right!

Those are actually pearl oysters. They are insanely vigorous and hardy. I’m doing G2G transfers on th right now.

Did you g2g into that bag or did you use a syringe to inoculate?

Syringe to bags for those right there. The growth looks crazy heathy in my limited experience.

Edited: mixed up my bags these were inoculated with syringes not agar

Is the mycelium network meant to be so extensive.

Why not even transfer some myc to grain or agar

We’ve isolated the healthy Myc on agar. This is my first time growing pearls, from what I’ve researched they are just a powerhouse the network seems to just explode. That’s some seriously healthy looking Myc growth from my limited experience. Don’t you think so too?

Still, the condensation is a bit concerning but I didn’t find a single contaminant while transferring. I’ve read they easily overpower many contaminants
