Galindoi mycelium on bread
    #26366642 - 12/07/19 10:17 AM (4 years, 1 month ago)

The best thing about being an idiot is living in a wonderful world where everything is possible.

So, here is what happened.
1) I heard nobody ever managed to grow on bread, but that's probably because pc-ing makes it too moist.
2) I stumbled upon packed pasteurized hotdog buns in local supermarket (more info below).
3) I had some Ps. Galindoi spore vial left after inoculation, so, I put a patch on the package, injected a few drops and shook a little. Just to see what happens.

So here is what seems to be galindoi myc to me :

At least that's what my wishful thinking makes it seem. I'm not sure those aren't flour spots that could have appeared due to the injected moisture. They haven't grown since a week ago when I noticed them first. Fuck, I could use one of those cheap microscopes from ebay now

If it's actually myc, it's cool considering all I did was buy&poke

Bread seems to be too dry. I'll try tearing other buns to increase evaporation surface and humidity.
Or inject some water on those spots.
And maybe order a microscope.
If neither of this works, well,
:breakout:

Here is a bit more about pasteurized bread
