Rye jars full of Trich sitting since september

In September I noticed green mold growing in 4 rye berry jars so I tossed them outside into a tote that stays outside. They have been sitting there the whole time. I'm kinda scared to open the tote. Should I be worried about these jars?

If your worried toss em but you can reuse them if want to clean them out, kinda nasty sometimes! I just throw on my mask and empty them in the trash and toss in a bucket with a mild bleach solution. Maybe not needed but it makes me feel better.

I'll probably clean the sometime today. Bleach doesn't do anything to mold. Clorox has been lying to people for decades. There are very few chemicals out there that can destroy mold spores. None that I can think of right now.

Concentrated bleach (sodium hypochlorite) is actualy a very potent oxidising agent known for its desinfectant abilities as it oxidises anything organic. It is sold in a alkali sodium hydroxide solution (lye) which also destroys anything organic, that is why we use it as drain opener. So leaving any living thing in bleach is a sure way to kill it. Just open the jars submerged in bleach so none of the spores can get out and leave it in for a day or so. Best done outside. Or you can just open the jar outside and pour some bleach untill all of the contents are submerged.
There are more potent things to destroy organic materials such as pirrahna solution or any other highly oxidising agent but using that for such purpose is just insane.

Trich is great for plants and most green molds are harmless to humans for the most part. Gross but not really scary. People buy Trich for their Cannabis plants. $15 for a 2 oz container of mostly trichoderma. Be careful. Don't breathe or ingest unknown/unidentified organisms or their waste.

So if i get some trich in my cakes I should just burry it under the roots of my marijuana and pepper plants? I'll put some poo in the soil and maybe get a 2 in 1 lol. Seriously I'm gonna try that next time I see green.
