Building mini grow kits as Christmas presents

Not sure this is the right place to post this, but here I am.
So, I am a novice with only like a 50% success rate between two grows using BRF cakes. My sister wants to start growing and tried to help last time, which is why I think my last grow was so heavily contaminated, just another variable talking and asking questions etc etc. Anyways, I want to put together a mini grow kit so she can grow on her own, along with printing out some written instructions.
My mother's old school hippie friend also wants me to build a grow kit for her daughter, since I guess my mom told her I grow. I figure if I'm already setting this up for two people, I know another who might be interested as well.
the problem is... I'm just not really sure where to start, or how much to put into it. I'm dirt poor right now so I cant go along buying a bunch more tubs to turn into SGFCs and SABs which is what I have done for my own little growing set up.
Any recommendations? I feel like simply putting stuff into plain language will be the most beneficial thing I can do, since learning the lingo and stuff was the hardest learning curve I had when I started... but I also feel like they'll perceive it as like the least thoughtful.

Give em colonized cakes and some instructions, primarily to sign up here. After that it's on them, but so long as they at least put it in a tub, even unmodified, they should get fruits. If you get fruits then you're set do long as you at least take prints.

Is this the beginning of a children's book about how to grow shrooms?

I thought about doing that, but I wanted the purpose to be to teach them how to do it themselves... Maybe I'll do that and also give them the instructions, recommendations to visit here, and extra supplies for when their cakes are spent.

Well surely they can source flour on their own, but maybe a small agar kit and a SAB to go along with the cake. The only issue with giving them scratch is what if they fail and quit. I'd expect that if they get a cake they can hit the ground running and while they watch it grow they can do the research alongside your instructions to keep it rolling. From there it is up to them whether they want to stick with cakes or ste0 up to grain. With prints and clones they can do anything. With firsthand results they'll want more.

You can top fruit cakes using a ziplock bag over the top of the jar that would be an easy way for ppl to get a personal amount for 1-2 ppl in a gift kinda set up.

That is a very good point, I might just do it this way. I'd feel bad if they gave up... But I'd also feel bad if the jars I give them got contaminated. Its always a risk though I guess.
