1- I plan on adding some gypsum to the Verm/Coir 60-40 sub, how much gypsum should I add to the mix and can I add the gypsum before I sterilize the Verm/Coir 60-40 sub? 2- And what stage is this jar at? is at 100% yet? Thank You.

Jar looks close even when its fully colonized u should wait a few days to spawn if you are not in a rush. You can add gypsum to the sub before you pasteurize it. I add just a little gypsum but it depends how acidic your coir is

Hello Shroomhunts, Is a couple of tea-spoons per quart of Verm/Coir 60-40 sub ok?

You can definitely add the gypsum before pasteurization
The jar itself looks off those few uncolonized grains make me think bacterial some but should still fruit

a couple of teaspoons per quart is waaaaay too much! just a sprinkling and then shake it up real good to distribute the gypsum evenly. gypsum doesn't act so much as an aklylizer, but as a buffer, while adding essential calcium and sulfur. you don't need to worry much about ph levels in your substrate but some people get anal about it in their casing layer.
that jar looks decently colonized and clean, but I'd give it another shake and let it consolidate a little more just to be thorough.
