Just harvested, couple questions about trich and side/bottom pinning.

Hey guys,
So just ended up harvesting some of my tubs... a few of them were great! some were kind of weak, and another few havent even produced pins yet.
One tub ended up getting trich, which is the only tub that I used 4.5 quarts of water to 2 quarts verm and 1 brick coco. Im wondering if it ended up getting trich because it was a bit over field capacity? I ended up pouring a bunch of salt on it... but my question is will the salt stop it in its tracks? Should I just toss it before it has any chance to contaminate my room, or can it go another flush or two before I need to get rid of it?

Also, most of the tubs ive worked with on this run ended up having side pins (which I can more or less deal with). But one of the tubs looks like it fruited almost more on the bottom than the top! lol. I havent used a liner on these runs because I was under the impression that if the substrate was pushed in and against the walls of the tub properly it wouldnt allow for the microclimate to be there for side/under pinning. Next runs I will prob try using a liner as harvesting has been a bitch as well (first time I tried using the water float tek but it didnt work too well cause the duct tape wouldnt hold the water in long enough to keep it afloat, as I am doing the 6 hole monotub style with micropore tape). How is it possible that I had SO MUCH FRUITING UNDER the substrate as it should have been pushed directly against the bottom of the tub?
Either way, for a first time doing bulk im ok with the results so far. Just trying to improve and get better.

The sub shrinks as it gets colonized and used up and will pull away from the tub.
I had some shoeboxes that got almost all side and bottom pins and they were also the only two that I made too dry when prepping the coir.
I’d get rid of the trich one but I’d wait for somebody who has experience with it first.
