Mixing species 1

All,
As different types of shrooms have different alkaloid levels and have been proven to have different effects... my thought is to combine 4+ species into 1pill and see what would happen.
Do you think that this could be a start to figure perfect ratios on what consumers would want? Or no effect? Has anyone ever tried it before?

I’ve tried mixing two species; liberty caps (Psilocybe Semilanceata), and Psilocybe cubensis. It has never done it for me, pal. You don’t get the magic.
I might have just been unlucky.
Experience though today tells me not to bother if I haven’t enough dose of one species.
Hope that helps.

Which 4 species do you have in mind?
The most popular ones that are grown by most users are Psilocybe cubensis ("cubes", like GT, B , mexican, thai,..) and Panaleous cyanescens ("pan cyans"). Then there are wildly picked Psilocybe semilanceata ("liberty caps"), Psilocybe cyanescens, Psilocybe azurescens ("woodlovers"). Maybe ovoids & subs..
I have never grown nor eaten anything besides P.cubensis. I often mix cubensis varieties, though. Like thai + golden teacher + amazonas.. always pretty good experiences. Gonna get some Pan cyan spores soon and hope to manage my first pan grow within the next months. They are said to be more potent and "cleaner" in it's effects, compared to cubensis. We'll see what's behind.
I wouldn't mix those species. Each one is unique with it's own charakcer I guess.

I've had many variations of cubes and also a few different kinds of woodlovers and some gyms too, they do have different highs because of the other alkaloids in them. Its important to remember the the chemical composition of every mushroom varies greatly unless cultivating from a clone culture.

@Pandemoon , you just refined my idea. Thank you. I assume the best mixture would be one with 4 total different types as you suggested.
My experiment is to take the 4 species, dry and powder them into pills. And see what would happen... Maybe something special?

Well fitting 4 species into one pill isnt practical. However, making a dry blend of 4 shroom species is totally doable!
Never mixed species before but i think its a great idea!

Yes exactly, sorry for my wording. I will be mixing a dry blend of 4 or more shroom species. As Pandemoon mentioned, I will use a mixture of Psilocybe cubensis, Panaleous cyanescens, Psilocybe semilanceata,Psilocybe cyanescens, Psilocybe azurescens. It will depend on my future grows.
This will be a project that I guess will be completed late 2020. I will post a new thread with my results and what I found if anything..

Cubes and Pans can be grown relatively easy indoors. Spores are readily available.
But good luck growing woodlovers or liberty caps. Spores are rarely sold online. Maybe someone from here can trade a sporeprint from a wild batch..? Not sure if anyone here ever managed to grow those at home. Usually you have to pick them wild. You can sow spores in your backyard on woodchips, though, or transplant living mycelium from agar to an outdoor spot and hope it developes.

Sounds interesting.
I dont know of any indoor/home Liberty Cap grows. Because u are mixing so many species, u may have an interesting "magical" trip from the super combo. Looking forward to your experience.

Are you saying, re: future grows, that you can successfully grow liberty caps at home?
Cheers DJ Ed
