Pan Cyan Next Steps

Hi,
First time growing pan cyans and I’m wondering what my next step should be.
I’ve put my spawn into a cow manure / vermiculite / cactus substrate and the bag is colonizing crazy fast.

Do I put it into a tub with more substrate and add a casing layer or can I just cut the bag open in the tub and make sure the moisture stays high?

As with most techniques your best route would be to fruit it since you already spawned to bulk. You can do this with or without a casing layer

Thanks! But it seems like everything I read says I need a casing layer for this species or it won't fruit. Do you think that's correct? TIA

Yeah OP don’t take this advice. Pan cyan growing parameters: Spawn grain to pasteurized horse poo substrate (or grass based but horse shit is proven) Allow 72 hrs to recover ( healthy spawn will take no more than 48hrs) Case with Peat moss and vermiculite (1:1 ratio, pasteurized for good measure) Mist heavily while allowing every drop of water to evaporate before misting again. For this to be practical, a Customized and modified Martha is usually required.
Pan cyans almost always require a casing when being cultivated indoors. In nature the ground acts as the casing.

Thanks!
Can you clarify what you mean by "allow 72 hours to recover?"
Also, is it a waste to put these things into a bag with 6" of substrate? Would it be better to spawn into tote with 3" of substrate, next time?
Also, is there any special care that needs to be taken for getting multiple flushes from this species?
TIA

Idk about the best fruiting container, but if your going to use a shallow tray, you need to mix the grain spawn with the pasteurized substrate and allow very low FAE. After 72 hrs the tray should be completely colonized, and at this point you put your casing layer on.
