Voting procedure idea

I often get a few beers and a bowl or two down then gawk at a Joe Rogan podcast, get a seemingly good idea then write it in my computer notes. Here it is: What if we voted like this so money powers would have less say in the vote and the popularity contest style poll would be less about media, image, budget, etc.. raw notes people vote on current and 4 year future events, morals, how to handle hypotheticals Votes are added and given to a room of judges (5-10 maybe?), in idea completely unbiased. Delegates give a presentation and are asked questions by the judges Judges review together and consider whether to lead a second, third, etc. hearing When judges feel they have evaluated who’s presidency is will best suit the people and their values, this is announced to the public and the presidents. 2nd place is VP.
What do the people think?

Sounds alright. I personally like the idea more that each state has a single representative for federal matters and that there are no other members of congress (no house, no senate, no supreme court) instead whenever a matter is being regarded on the federal level all 50 state representatives must come together and vote on it. 2/3 required to pass said vote on the federal level. And each state representative has an 8 year max term limit, and i think the same should be set for state governors as well; and perhaps instead of a president and a VP there would be governors and vice governors and the vice governors ended up being the representative for that state on the federal 'council'
but lets get real, the world is going to descend into chaos before the US Government restructures itself in such a way as to be anything close to what any of us might come up with as being positive alternatives to the current system of easy money through corruption...
i hope i'm wrong tho...

Maybe. I think something has to break for us to fix it. I think It broke. I see a lot of like minded lovers in the youthful world. I think there is certainly hope. I also like your ide but I think it is a larger change and would take much more to implement.

I'm hope you're right. Part of me really feels this system is too corrupt to be fixed. That the corruption is too ingrained and then anyone who attempts to enter it to fix it ends up becoming corrupted themselves...

This is somewhat similar to the idea of a watchman state where courts have some influence instead of actual governing bodies. Essentially smaller government, which I'm all for. The practicalities for making that a reality, on the other hand, would require a shit ton of forward thinking citizens and I unfortunately think that's exactly why our system hasn't changed yet.
