Is this Pan Jar bacterial?
    #26361942 - 12/04/19 10:39 PM (4 years, 1 month ago)

Definitely had well sterilised the jar...  we had a few hot days.  Inside temperature got to around 86F
Does this jar look okay or should it be thrown?

Thanks

Looks like it to me, at that stage it might be worth shaking it up to see how it recovers. Most likely just toss if the bacteria takes over.

Anyone who says yes is a quack. Only way to tell is to test it on agar and look at the stuff under a microscope. It is indeed most likely contaminated with other organisms which are competitive or detrimental at this point. There are lots of things that can cause that including phenotypic expression due to environmental factors. Good luck.

Awesome, thanks for the insight. Is there a particular temperature that pans go bacterial?  Or could it be trace amounts of residual bacteria following pc?
