Burma fruiting stage! Pics and updates!
    #26360878 - 12/04/19 11:16 AM (4 years, 1 month ago)

I moved my tub out of the consolidation stage on Nov. 25th, so it’s been about 9 days in fruiting conditions. Things are moving along very nicely! I mist the tub a few times a day because I have a fan I turn on low and keep on for hours at a time to get the maximized FAE that I desire. No signs of mold or anything foreign. Lots of hyphal knots and more pins keep popping up! This is my first mono tub and unexpectedly, and things are going great.

Hey guys got another update! I got a little less than an ounce on my first flush! I’m slowly picking through my second. Also, I was going to ask y’all about dunking a mono tub. I don’t know why but this seems problematic to me. Anyways, let me know!

Enjoy your fruits! :mushroomgrow:
I always do a heavy misting after the first flush, that the surface is really wet but after a few hours the substrate have take it all up and looks normal.

The first few times I did a grow, I weighted the harvested mushrooms and calculated the amount of water they have in them (around 90% is water) and sprayed the calculated amount of water back haha.

It's better to judge by eye I think

Yeah I've been doing a good mist a few times a day. Dunking seems too complicated and maybe even pointless, unless there wasn't enough water in the sub to begin with. Appreciate the info!

Ive read that the Burma has a pretty distinguished cap, so maybe a slight difference in variables is what caused yours to grow a little differently than mine. But hey, they've all got psilocybin

Also, I have a question for you. Does the Burma typically produce smaller fruits as compared to other strains that may produce bigger fruits? Or is it maybe because the strain wasn't isolated in the syringe?

I’m pretty sure the description from when j bought the syringe was something along the lines of “known for producing arm length fruits”

I’ve only done two shoeboxes of them and they were the only two I messed up so bad they barely made it.

Judging by the caps on some of mine they do get huge though. I had another one that was like half a tennis ball in a 1.5 inch stem

Another update! I’d say this is maybe my 2nd or 3rd flush. However, it’s a little difficult to differentiate between flushes when it comes to mono tubs because the all seem like they’re sort of growing at the same time.

Those look great man.  Lots of clusters.

This is how my first one was I got only big clusters of side/bottom pins so flipped it over and put it in a humidity chamber.

is that a brf block? If so, did you get it remade or make it yourself? I recently just attempted to do the same with some Chitwan spores..Got contaminated about 10 days in, i believe its because the tupperware top popped off in the instant pot and got the dry verm on top a little damp.
Check out this cluster i picked today!

I made some bro jars, crumbled them up in a Ziploc then added to a coco/verm mix in a monotub after the jars were colonized

I used a spore syringe on the jars if that's what you're asking
