3 weeks old Liberty Caps?

I have a batch of libs that i picked 3 weeks ago and they were air dried since. I didn't have the time to do a proper trip, only a test 0,5g after i got them. I suppose they still ok to eat, they look very dry but not stem snapping dry. Any expected loss of potency in 3 weeks of air drying? i'm planing to do 2g tomorrow since semilanceata is supposed to be stronger than the regular cubensis. This would be my first "normal dose" trip, i only done low dose and microdosing so far

Check them for any mold or nasty smells.
How were they stored?
If they were cracker dry and stored well (something like air-tight glass container+desiccant), they should be fine.
If they are "bendy" it sounds like they started to reabsorb moisture. This could lead to mold and/or bacteria forming in/on them. Also, after reabsorbing moisture, your 2g weighed isn't an accurate measurement for dry shrooms. Your 2g "mostly dry" can be equivalent to 1.5g cracker dry.
I'd suggest:
- Inspect them for mold
- See if they have an unusual odor
- Post pictures here so we can get a better idea of what they look like and perhaps give advice based on that
- Make tea with them

Ty for the quick reply, i took some pictures.. After drying them for a week on paper, they were stored in a stainless steel cup covered with a paper tissue in a very dry room - they don't smell weird and i can't see anything weird/moldy growing on them. The green strand you can see in the left is a piece of vegetation i probably picked with the shrooms

Wow, great pictures!
They look good to me but obviously any decision of consumption must be made by you and you alone.
If they don't smell "off", have any mold etc, I would go for it.
Just be aware that, if they did start to reabsorb moisture, the weight may be off by a little (since we normally discuss weight in cracker dry grams).
And, if in doubt, make tea.

They look alright, DiMage. As socrtesshroom says, make a tea from them, and maybe simmer up 2.5g. 3.5g bone dried is a heroic dose.
To do the tea, break them up and soak in lemon juice for a,few mins. Then pour over boiling water and simmer gently for 20 minutes. Make sure the water doesn’t evaporate away. Then strain and drink. You can eat the sludge, but in this instance, I would throw them. I never eat the dregggs and have consistent trips from whatever dose I take. Always get the magic.
For future reference, once you’ve dried them, store them in sealable baggies with a desiccant (really cheap off amazon or similar) and stick straight in the freezer. I’m running low at the moment......down to my last box from Feb 2017, still viable.
Good luck DJ Ed

I always rinse my glass out after the tea with orange juice. There’s some chemical in the lemon (and I believe grapefruit) that breaks down the cell walls such that the psilocin ‘ psilocybin is extracted more efficiently, I.e. you get more out. I haven’t heard of the same effect from orange juice. If you’re worried about acid reflux, rarely mate. I have a box of Rennies in the medicine cupboard in case, butnrarely need them. Very rarely get nauseous trips either dude. I’d recommend lemon.
Take care, DJ Ed

Anything with Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). Orange juice (the store brand kind) is less effective than pure lemon juice (my opinion based on experience) but still works well (and you said yours is fresh squeezed so it might be comparable). It certainly won't diminish the effects just won't be as powerful as a "Lemon Tek"

Look fine to me, I'd just eat em.
Probably not much potency loss either. I'd eat 20 or 30 of them depending how adventurous I feel. Never really weighed libs before, they all kinda average out.
