All I can say is that it is likely a white spored species. We need more information on habitat and substrate, and preferably some better pictures.

Welcome to the Shroomery.

They look a bit like Strobilarius, but I agree the photos are not clear enough to say anything at all definite. Were they growing on fir cones?

Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

My thought exactly when I first saw the pictures.

But I failed to ask about the cones.

They're Strobilurus for sure. Actually very tasty but it takes a ton of picking to collect a decent amount.

I've never heard they were edible - is it any particular species?  They grow by the millions out here most years, pretty much every fir cone you see has a dozen on it, but they are *tiny* for the most part...
