China never was third world
Are you using third world in the cold war context of unaligned nations? China is quite rich in its coastal urban areas but the countryside is very poor. Despite Chinas booming economy I would still consider it underdeveloped in many ways.

It’s a Cold War term. 1st world - democratic countries. 2nd world - communist countries. 3rd world - everyone else. These terms have no bearing on today’s world though🤷🏻♂️

So, I assume you don’t know that the word compassion is in the constitution? Moot point, actually...see, if happiness means being surrounded by compassionate people - and I argue that it does - then the two words become interchangeable.

and you can still pursue happiness all you want. doesn't mean it's your right to obtain it. maybe that's why everyone's so unhappy these days. no compassion.

To this, I concede wholeheartedly. The Pursuit of Happiness could not have been worded any more vague than this. “Wow, I get to chase an ever-elusive concept legally?! Geee Thanks founding fathers!”

Universal healthcare has nothing to do with communism.
It does when it involves a government buy up of healthcare. It's a very slippery slope. Again some people in here are lit fucking insane. Oh yes instead of letting the government oversee healthcare corporations which we know is a corruptible system let's let the government run health and regulate it's own oversight. That'll totally work out rite?
The only part of the system that the government takes over is the insurance. The rest of the system stays the same

That's an interesting point.

Seeing how economics professors don’t really eat much shit and even an Ivy League Ph.D. is lucky to land such a job these days perhaps he should work fast good for a decade and live on minimum wage, no vacation, no health care, no nothing, and then see if he still thinks it’s in his best interest to keep eating shit.

........people simplify this stuff. Some people might get priced out of a prescription in the US that they need. That is atrocious. When you take into account that a HIGHLY SKILLED & EDUCATED doctor needs to perform surgery to save some people it’s not quite as simple as saying “healthcare is a right”. If you don’t get this you are simple. I truly feel for poor sick people but if the cost of their treatment is prohibitive to society it ain’t gonna happen. Simple as that. Life isn’t fair for any of us and cards that are dealt are dealt. Quit crying about healthcare statistics. Do you know anyone personally who is going to die and can’t receive treatment? Doubt it. If you do I bet the surgery is literally at the forefront of medicine. Ya can’t offer that stuff for free without stealing someone’s time and livelihood. The country would collapse or surgeons and expert doctors will quit. Also bankruptcy ain’t shit don’t seek medical treatment if you can’t afford it. If you’re gonna die you won’t be turned away and at that point bankruptcy ain’t shit like I said.

This is such an idiotic talking point. Doctors will still get paid the same... Its just normal people won't have to go bankrupt. Some rich people and corporations will have to pay more in taxes im ok with that.
