Pan Cyan Casing: Trich or Hyphae?

I'm currently on my first Pan Cyan grow, which is also my first grow from spores (used kits in the past). I did a batch of 11 trays, all but 1 of which went to fruit.
The one that didn't did show some signs of pins in one area, but developed white specks over the casing. The thing is, this tray is different from the rest; it's the first I cased, and I compacted the casing, which I have read is bad for Pan Cyans. Subsequent trays were cased correctly. These white specks look a bit like hyphal knots, but there is no apparent colonisation whatsoever across the casing. The specks were also very white, and I hadn't seen this feature on any of the other trays. I was thinking it could be the compacted casing causing pins to form differently compared to the other trays, but I dumped it just in case, I thought it wasn't worth the risk of it sporulating if it was Trich. Here's the images, I'm curious to see what people think:

Yeah I thought so too, I did leave it in the FC for a while, but I had a dream about waking up to a swamp of Trich and I bottled it haha. I felt shitty for throwing the sub but I've been struggling with confidence as I've never made it to this stage before, I was more concerned with ensuring at least one specimen that I could clone would grow. My yield is low, which I was expecting, and if that was knots then it looked like it was likely to give a good pinset which made me more disappointed to chuck it! But I suppose it's experience. On the next run I'll case another tray in the same way and see if this shows up again. I was a little confused because I'm positive that I've read in several places that a compacted casing is no good for Pans, but I'm growing the Tasmanian variety, which so far seem a little atypical going by everything I've seen on here. The compacted casing seemed like it retained moisture better too, I think I'm having some problems with my casings drying out!
Just to clarify, by compacted I mean I leveled the casing with a fork as suggested by Asura in their journal. It was spread on lightly with a little pressure applied, but not much.
