Mycelium in clumps?

I’m new at this, so any help is appreciated.
The photo is of PE inoculated into wild bird seed about 2.5 weeks ago.
I am getting some mycelial growth, but it seems to be limited to a couple ball-shaped clumps. Should I just let it be or should I shake the jar to break these up?
Thanks!

It’s finch WBS (no sunflower seeds plus I don’t know what else)....not sure of the brand. I did the usual prep with soaking the seeds for a day, then bringing to a simmer and draining. After letting it dry a bit the jars were loaded and sterilized. Is that what you were asking? 😄

Looks ok IMO, just different inoculation points that will eventually turn rhyzomorphic. Can leave it if you want or you could shake it up to spread it around.

How long did you let it drain for? It looks pretty wet to me.

I don't recall specifically how long I drained because this was a few weeks ago, but I'm guessing 10 minutes in the colander. I press down on the seeds too to improve drainage.

Dude you'll be ight, as long as it's not pooling up at the bottom of your jars. More moisture will slightly increase chances of contam but if you do everything with sterile technique as procedure, you got nothing to worry about man.
