Dino Synth is my new favorite genre, though these guys, Diplodocus, may be the only band doing it. Imagine the tribe on King Kong's island needed some synth driven summoning music to awake giant slumbering monsters.

Burke Dennings said: Yeah man, I doubt I’ll ever go to another Manson show. I still respect him as an artist, he was great 20+ years ago. I think he’s like 50 years old now, and I can understand why his shows don’t have the same energy. At least he’s not as terrible as Vince Neil. But Manson’s artistry didn’t mature like, say, Trent Reznor’s. He just doesn’t have it any more. It’s almost like decades of cocaine addiction can harm a person.
I made a post recently about Zombie’s movies, where I figured out his strengths: the first three minutes of the movie, and the last three minutes. I guess that’s enough though, because I overall enjoy a lot of his films. Still haven’t seen ‘Three From Hell’, and I’m not very enthusiastic about it, but I owe it to Sid Haig to watch it. Loved that guy.
I'd imagine that a lot of what made older Manson so great is the actual musicians in the band such as Twiggy... Manson was a great front man & very intelligent guy, but he didn't really know jack about making or playing music. The coke definitely seemed to do a number on him, and he's still partying pretty hard from what I've heard...
I downloaded 3 From Hell but haven't watched it due to the pretty much entirely terrible reviews. I generally don't trust reviews at all, but this one sounds pretty bad - largely because Haig wasn't well enough to do much in the film and it had to be rewritten last second... the result is supposed to be real bad, and from descriptions it sounds like the kind of movie I don't like (lots of zoomed in close up action shots and boring rehashing of plot)

Funky, jazzy kinda shit. These guys are absolutely fucking incredible if you're into music and musicianship. If you dig it check out their "We Like It Here" performance.

I saw MM back in 1994 and they opened for NIN. I wasn't a fan of either really but NIN had that fuck you like an animal song and we rocked it all the time. I think I had never heard of MM actually when I saw them live/open for NIN. I didn't really like it, and I never liked any of their shit, but I was raised on beatles, led zep, aerosmith, stones, etc....NIN put on a decent show, but I had no desire to buy any of the music or see them again. I did see Primus 4 times back in the 90's though, that rocked!
I'm thinking that MM should just age gracefully, get back to some roots of rock, and do some good music instead of trying to still be a "shock Rocker". Alice Cooper was and is the original Shock rocker and no one will ever come close to him. MM is a sad copy. I never saw him either or bought his stuff, it seemed silly to me. If a band is gimmicky it irks me, I'll watch the vids, but I'm not giving them any money.

The Underachievers - Chasing Faith x Rain Dance x Allusions
So a nigga ain't have no direction Locked up in my own mental prison Suicide on my mind, no one listen Made a nigga remain so distant From the ones that could help me cope with it Heart closed nigga, feeling indifferent Can I stand on my own? Pain on my dome, fucking up my zone Dreams surrounded in darkness, heartless Mind fucked up, thoughts littered with garbage Desolate minds, so my pace move lethargic All of this pain is what made me an artist Picked myself up off the ground Push a nigga forth where they chalk 'em out Need it to rain in my endless drought 'Cause all a nigga rivers filled up with doubt
Free, free, let me tell you what I mean 'Cause a nigga grew up in the coldest of streets Hood real gutter, make ya fold up your dreams Old school system bring the clones from the weak Rob and they stealing, but the plot only thickens 'Cause the cops hitting niggas 'fore they reach for the phone Try intervention, but the confidence missing So they got all the children and they stripped off my hope
Damn, damn, feeling like death Where do you turn when a nigga need help? Trapped in your conscience, your conscience gon' melt You busy watching what they do and you fail I'm tryna show you that a nigga been there Crucify myself, a story to tell If you thinking that you stuck in a jail The key is in the room, you standing right there
