Certain music brings back feelings of trip?

So I'm still feeling a small amount of afterglow from a very heavy trip over a week ago.
Right now, I'm in my bed in the dark listening to The Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. My first time listening to this album was my first acid trip, and I was also lying in my bed w lights turned off.
Crazily enough, I feel some of the effects of actual tripping. My mouth feels like a pond (that's the only way to describe it), and I'm getting trippy visuals where things move back and forth. When I turn the music off, these effects go away.

On my first acid trip the girl I was with played this stupid Ludacris song called “Runaway Love” in the car and it became this most transcendent experience for me. Hearing the song was an instant flashback for years. Music I think has a tendency to imprint experiences deeply. Acid in particular seems to amplify perceived significance of music. (Sometimes the song is stupid but feels profound).

sensory recollection plays a huge part in the sober mind. amplifying those senses and emotions with LSD probably just imprints it even more in the brain. I rarely listen to music with words when I trip anymore though.

Pink Floyd makes you trip regardless. Haha. Whenever I listen to songs that are just instrumentals.. I always tend to fathom an experience. It's almost as if I manifest it. Not so much the visuals or anything. But just the sounds of the melody, drums, guitar.. really gets me lost into that headspace that psyches are capable of.

there's so much good stuff to listen to, when sober I listen to alot of psychedelic rock music, but when I start tripping I turn into a reptilian fuckin synth junkie. all the wild electronic sounds just take me to another dimension. then usually ride it out with some relaxing meditation loop from youtube with harps and stuff.

I highly recommend music when it comes to Psychedelics. People really underestimate or don't know about the power and potential of music, especially instrumental music. I would say music played a HUGE role in my Aya experimentation as music can be useful in inducing a lot of different emotions and states of consciousness, and really helps to guide/direct/drive the experience forwards, whereas sometimes without music things can be kinda stale, lacks flow, and i'm more focused on thoughts and body sensations/intensity, but with music, i can get absorbed into the music and it really helps to give me the experiences i'm looking for.
Music can no doubt be a form of therapy, especially in combination with Psychedelics. Music with words can be good too, but i much prefer instrumental music and highly recommend instrumental music. People put more focus on the lyrical content these days rather than the actual music, music can be quite powerful, but i find lyrics to be distracting and misleading.

I think music in and of itself (at least for me) can be incredibly strong (almost to the point of psychedelic). I've always had this sort of connection to music, whether under the influence or not.
And in some cases, music that was listened to during something important (a psychedelic trip, a significant sober experience, etc) gives me intense feelings of recollection of the particular experience it was associated with. I think this is simply an effect of the mind, it keeps these connections and associations since they were important/profound/significant.

I too, recommended music without lyrics. It really helps you get lost in the wave without anything grounding you. I don't think I will ever trip without music. Always have people saying how they trip in silence.
Which I have not really tried. But I MUCH rather listen to music than sit in silence. I can almost girentee my trips are much more blissful with some great instrumentals in my ears. It tickles my brain in a sense that I cannot explain.
I listen to music all day though. I LOVE music.

Sometimes im in the mood for more instrumental songs but sometimes I like rough beats and bass (kanye can be really good while tripping). It really depends on the trip but my preference always holds throughout the entire experience.
