Incredibly slow grow - how much before I throw in the towel?

This is my first mushroom grow, but have experience with similar things. That said, I started this grow in September, the jars grew slowly and eventually stalled, but looked healthy so I continued. I birthed these ones two weeks ago and I'm starting to wonder if I should be as patient with them now as I was initially. Suggestions?

I’m not sure but they look kind of dry in spots. And it’s prob the lighting but the ones on the left look a weird color compared to the others.

Trim down some of that foil. Either make a sgfc or ditch the perlite and rely on the chamber full of cakes to generate the microclimate you want.
Fruiting chambers should not be 90+ rh. The cakes need to evaporate moisture to pin. Kinda hard to do that in the tropics feel me?

did you wait a week or so to birth after 100% colonization? It is possible that the center of your jars were not fully colonized and thats why they seem slow to pin?

I thought they might have looked a bit dry also but they were soaked for about a day, and humidity has been maintained. Any way to double check that without damaging them? As far as discoloration, they're all pretty consistent.

Okay, so I'm gonna trim the foil a bit and reduce the humidity down to between 85-90% RH. If the RH doesn't seem to want to drop I'll ditch the perlite and go from there. Thanks.

I inoculated the jars in early September. They started showing signs of colonization within a week but after that the growth was very slow. I wanted to follow up with these jars, being my first time I figured I'd see things either go right or wrong, either way I'd learn something. But October came and went, and they seemed only 50% or so colonized. By mid-November they looked about 90% but they just stalled. They were only about 70% of their original size so I figured at that point, birth them and hope for the best. If they weren't colonized would they continue to colonize as they are right now and then eventually fruit? Thanks for the help.

I realize now that the advice I've taken from other sources was CLEARLY wrong. I'm lowering the humidity and I'll update from there. Thanks.
