Pan cyans, on PDA?

Has anyone had any problem cultivating pan cyans using Potato Dextrose Agar? Seems like the mycelium doesnt like the PDA. Would MEA work better, or is there another Agar that would be best suited for the job. Thanks ahead for any insight.

Wouldnt it be better to try and isolate a fruiting strain, especially with a somewhat picky strain to grow indoors, that way you can at least get some consistancy.

Sure it would... but if you caqn't get it to grow on agar, perhaps you will have better luck on substrate.
Perhaps you have a dud syringe.
Chances are, like cubes, you will get a fruiting strain.

No not really because this strain ieFlorida has been consistant from a wild print...it is pretty hardy allready on its own

its from ralphster44.. I dont' think its the spores.. I think I am just feeding the spores the wrong food.(in lamens terms)
niether of my pans are growing on PDA agar...I can't remember were I got my pan subb print.. It was a wild print though.
Cervantes - I agree with you, I could just do a multispore. But I want more than that... I want to start from agar to increase my gemination rate, plus to pick out a healthy growth.

Grow them out multispore then take a clone of what fruits... It seems like you're working backwards trying to isolate something, then fruit it and see how it performs. Go the other way and fruit it multispore, then you'll know the clone you pickt is an easy fruiter and a fast grower.
Peace - @cro

yeah, my cubes are loving that PDA agar. I am getting great growth on all of them. its just seem my pans are not liking it.
@cro - My pan subbs need agar work done. they are a wild print. I agree with you though, its might be easier to multispore then clone. I just want to isolate then clone from that... maybe my reasoning is off.
