I hope the next Republican president that gets elected is Arnold Scwarzenegger.
I ask the Right but ESPECIALLY the Left.
If it HAS TO BE ANY REPUBLICAN at some point,
Which Republican president would you feel best about?
I ask a trueblood Republican to make a countertopic to ask the same, in his or her way, in reverse.

Arnold wasn't born an American citizen, so he can't run for President.
-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

Cheers.
Plus Arnold hated his job as governor essentially.

i dont understand why there has to be only a single person in charge. president? what a joke. id rather the country be run by an elected group of sensible people, preferably 30-45 years of age, women and men.
no one single person (president) will be able to fulfill the interests of everyone in the country. look at the voting numbers from any presidential election. its usually a very close call, which means theres has always been half a country full of people that wanted the other person to win.

Nah, I mean his ties to the Nazis and the SS are LEGIT. Very easy to look up and confirm if you want. It's similar to George Bush's great grandfather who worked with the Nazis, but Arnold's family was even closer as the Bush's were basically just money launderers, whereas arnolds family is directly linked to the SS and I heart Arnold likes to where nazi belt buckles and shit. lol

The U.S. hired a bunch of Nazi's to build bombs and rockets, gave them get out of jail free cards for doing so, used the Nazi technology to murder tens (maybe hundreds) of thousands of people, then allowed these people to work for Nasa and a number of other agencies, and live freely as American citizens.
That makes Neil Armstrong a Nazi.

True to a point, but I don't really consider the German scientists to be Nazis. If we blame them then doesn't Albert Einstein have a lot to answer for.

Pretty much everything I said is based on fact, except the part about Neil Armstrong. Deciding who is and who isn't a criminal is a tough subject. Not having lived through WWII myself, I'm not sure I'm capable or qualified to discuss it in much detail. I do think that if you are going to insinuate that Arnold's Nazi ties are significant that you could do pretty much the same with Neil Armstrong though, because it's not a strong argument in the first place.
Einstein is on record saying that his encouragement of the nuclear program is a regret of his. Keep in mind, his science helped build nuclear weapons, but Einstein never worked on the program himself.

We should change this law, as well as the age threshold.

We did hire literal nazis though, funded their operation in post war Europe via Gladio, and continue to support them today both at home and in places like Ukraine.

No doubt. I just don't think von Braun and his boys were actual Nazis. I could be wrong.

I'd venture to guess that they were scientists and were doing what they were passionate about. Whether funded by the Nazi's or the USA it likely didn't matter too much. That doesn't change the fact that they were in fact members of the Nazi party and exchanged their knowledge for freedom, knowledge that lead to widespread murder (justified or not).

They were damn glad they got found by us and not the Soviets. Not that they wouldn't have had a relatively privileged life in the USSR.

Also Einstein helped create the atomic bomb which I’m sure he personally regretted, and even if not definitely is something he deserved to answer for. He should’ve just went to the Soviet Union, he was a socialist after all.

Einstein didn't have clearances to work on the Manhattan project, he did however encourage the creation of the project.

I believe Oppenheimer headed up the Manhattan project, but when the H bomb development came along he was pushed out by Teller for not being sufficiently enthusiastic about killing people at an exponentially higher rate. He would have done it. He just wasn't 100% morally gung ho about it. There's a good chapter about all that in David Halberstam's book The Fifties. My recalls a little hazy. Read it about a quarter century ago.

A lot of scientist wanted the funding for research, perhaps as well fame. I believe some if not many questioned the future intent of the military.
Cats out of the bag now. Worse case scenerio leaders who are doomed will authorize weapons that doom us all with them.
