hello everyone so after 3 successful flushes of my monotub substrate i was wondering if theres any way to extract the psilocybin from the substrate? ive heard that people are making some kind of consumable liquid from it... i was hoping you guys can shed some light on any practices.

No. I think you heard wrong.
It does make an excellent garden amendment though.

If theres any nutrition left in the sub the best way of making use of it is to let it continue producing mushrooms until it no longer does. At sone point bacteria and mould might get in the way of that, but at that point there's no kind of product you could make from it that I'd want to consume!

I thought i saw in the advanced mycology subforum that they are doing extractions on the mycelium. Check there maybe.

Upon reading it is very sparse on the ethanol part. SO:
1. Simply take your ground mushrooms, mycelium or parts of old casing, place them in a mason jar with room to pour ethanol.
2. Pour ethanol. Swirl and encourage movement, but do so gently; do not shake. Let it sit for some time... approximately four hours is likely plenty, overnight is unnecessary.
3. Take coffee filter, place it over the mason jar and secure with a clean, new elastic hair tie, or a few rubber bands.
4. Slowly turn a pour onto a dish, or better yet through a funnel into another mason jar. Repeat if you wish. Results with likely be diminishing.
