I've not tried them, I've been hunting and collecting, identifying and examining, for a quite a while. This year is pretty much the first time I've actually been interested and confident enough to start collecting mushrooms to eat. The only thing I ate this year was some bear's head tooth, Next year I'll probably try a few more. I know a spot for wine cap stropharia, and I can probably find some pear shaped puffballs again. If I see some more shrimp of the woods I will probably try those if they're not covered in poison ivy. I found some this year that I didn't know we're edible and others that were just too old or in too poor a condition to try.

Hey guys what you think about these?

found a nice cluster but dropped it in the spring and then looking seemed too far gone anyway, bummer. Guess prime time was before this last rain. I left a lot of small ones maybe they'll grow more before it gets too cold.

Sorry about that, was away for a couple days.

Wash em off, trim out any discolored areas, and fry em up!

As with all new-to-you edibles, try a tablespoon or so before diving in to the whole batch.  Thats what I've always read; try a small portion first to make sure you're not sensitive to them (allergic reaction, indigestion, etc)

When I say discolored areas, I mean truly discolored, not just a little like the one at 3 o'clock/far right in your pic.  That one is fine.

I trim out any blackened areas or spots or divets where any soil doesn't wash out.

Best thing you can do is to make sure to harvest them carefully and brush or blow off any dirt before putting them in your collection bag or basket...that way you minimize cleanup and cross contamination.

Definitely want to go very light on any added flavors and make sure to brown the mushrooms in order to bring out a slightly nutty flavor they develop when browned/carmwlized (similar to the way onion flavor develops when you brown and carmelize them as opposed to their flavor when raw)

That's what I saw. Cap was a little more pronounced Greyish purple. Will they turn into shrimps? I'm confused I thought they were honey mushrooms that are infected. What's your take on that?

Those are Entoloma abortivum mushrooms, the blobs are technically blobs of both Entoloma and Armillaria hyphae

They will not turn into shrimps. Both the E. abortivum mushrooms and the blobs are edble.
