These really clear plates I keep seeing are LME agar plates right?
I just ordered a few pounds of it and wanna make sure I'm getting the right stuff..
You need to add anything else or is it just LME and agar?

Some people add other stuff, but LME and agar work fine. Just get the lightest color you can find. Pilsen LME seems to be the lightest I’ve seen.

Ok so it is LME then, like the plates bod uses in his agar tek?

Not sure about a specific photo if he doesn’t say. I think he likes to use spent grain water, so could be that too. Both grain water and LME are going to be pretty clear either way.

Filtering after mixing in your nutes can help alot I still filter sometimes. Also using distilled water I found helps clarity. Then again neither of these is necessary.

Necessary or not for how little effort the entire process of agar is i like to do everything with a little more attention to detail.
Like the difference between murdering a steak or making it perfectly medium rare. Mycelium wont give a fuck but i like clear condensation free plates.
You can load ingredients into a bottle and cook it and it will be a-ok but if you want crystal clear agar boil the ingredients first. Agar, nutes, water. This will precipitate out any protein crud that will end up insoluble junk later on. Decant off the crud and keep the clear portion to sterilize. Then pour your plates when the agar hits 47°C(116F)

I used premixed LMEA 10g to 450ish ML. It came out pretty clear with a light yellow tint.

LME (unhopped, from home brewing supplier), agar-agar, water, food coloring (optional) results perfectly clear plates for me using shake/microwave/shake/PC per bod's TEK (no filtering/decanting/etc. needed). The color makes it appear even clearer.

I like crystal clear but colored as well. I've found light purple to be the best contrast against everything I've seen grow in a plate.
To each their own of coarse. My best growing mycelium was in agar that was basically grain water mud full of bits and weird globs.

When I make agar I would usually cook brown rice, keep the water, bring the water temp down to room temp or colder, then add my agar POWDER, then bring to a simmer until it gels up...
Most of the teks I read say to add the agar while water is hot, but when I did that it clumps up really bad... dunno If it's my agar powder or what, but it dissolves perfectly when room temp or colder, but it is still the consistency of water (not gelatinous at all) until I heat it up...
