HOW TO QUIT AN ADDICTION
    #26353167 - 11/30/19 05:36 AM (4 years, 1 month ago)

If someone reading this is addicted right now, such as painkillers or gambling: You have the power to change your mind about wanting to use. So while you use, add more and more motivations for quitting and repeat them with every draw on your cigarette.

If you do this, just THIS, something Magical will happen painlessly: You will reach the point that you TRULY DONT WANT IT ANYMORE and then, the psychological addiction ois over and thenevery pang of withdrawal you repeat to yourself the reasons WHY YOU QUIT. lovingly and with determination.

This genuinely works and hurts the least because you can keep using until you want to quit and every moment of the use you pull the quitting moment closer.

THIS is willpower,l working WITH your mind, not AGAINST IT.

Im not sure that's anything near powerful enough to break an addiction.  Think of what you tell kids when they ask why you use?  Think of maybe causing kids to use by your example?

Maybe for someone who is really trying to quit smoking, something like that would strengthen their resolve, because they are looking for reasons.

For some heroin, crack, or alcohol addicted person, Im afraid that ain't gonna cut it.  They might feel even worse about themselves though.

Ibogaine is powerful enough for those addictions.

All addictions share one thing in common - behavioral choices. The only way to gain insight is to uncover the motivations for your decisions. A big part of modern addiction mythology that's been widely taught is that you're "powerless" over an imaginary disease that you will fight for the rest of your life. And you need special treatment. You need lots of support. You have a problem. You need help. You need a recovery program. In America, TV advertisement is littered with messages telling people they need help and treatment and they propagate lies about powerlessness and "most people need help to quit". Millions of people have ended addictions without help. But the treatment industry spends millions to tell everyone the opposite, which is a complete falsehood.
