Water in reishi bags

I have 4 bags of reishi and they all have alot of water in them. The excess water didn't appear tell after the blocks were fully colonized. I have read of reishi producing alot of metabolites...is this what I'm seeing or did I make my subs too wet?? Sub consists of pellets and coco choir roughly 50/50 with half quart of grain spawn to each bag. I did some tubs a couple weeks back and they did the same thing but I could poured off some of the excess and the rest has since evaporated or been reabsorbed. Any thoughts on current bags or advice for future ones?

Pretty normal for reishi IME, depending on how you’re fruiting you could open the bag and pour it off or poke a hole, drain and tape it (fully colonized only). You can probably get away with a little less water next time.

Thank you for the feedback!!
My next go round I will definitely dial back the water..the woodpellets I used were damp but not near field capacity in wetness and my choir was cube perfect so I hoped the dryness of the wood would help with the moisture issues I had in my tubs.
How do you do your subs for reishi's??

80:20 swfp and alfalfa. Been a while sine I ran any though. Gotta remember reishi are alot less thirsty than cubes, theyre only ~70-80% water and cubes are like 90%
