Pins but very slow growth, B+

Hello,
I am very new to mushrooms cultivation. I know it is not the real deal but I have a grow kit. It is 2 weeks old. Pins seems to pop but very very slowly. What you see on the picture popped 4 days ago and since then nothing really happens. I wonder if it is standard or if I am doing something wrong. The plastic bag around the kit has been loosely closed the whole time.
- Strain : B+ - Temperature : 21°c / 71°F - Light : day light, not close to the window, rainy - First flush

Kinda hard to see in that light but it looks alright. Have new pins been forming? Sometimes mine seem like the pins hardly grow until there’s enough of them then they all shoot up at once.m
I’m not positive but it seems like it might be a little dry also.

What you call a dunk is putting the cake in water for a couple of hours isn't it ?
At this stage, is it sensitive to contamination (manipulating the cake etc) ?

If it’s completely colonized then it’s much more stable and resistant to contam. Not to say that it won’t, but not nearly as vulnerable as early on.

It shouldn’t need dunked!
That’s not the instructions of the kit
Why is it out of its plastic tub????

The instructions say that if the growth is slow it means the top is too full of mycelium and one could put the cake out of the plastic box.

It’s in a bag, right? And this bag has holes poked through it? Do you mist at all?

Exactly. How does it matter whether the bag is in a plastic container?

its not the way it was designed and ideally you want the surface to produce mushrooms and I’ll suspect this extra surface area exposed will lead to drying quicker
The lack of room in the bag (as by design) will not help the production of fruit if that’s your aim that you want them growing on the sides also, as they will be knocked off easy and by pressing against the wet bag may get soggy
You could build a sgfc. I would, and have

From that picture it doesn’t look like too much myc is the problem. I don’t know if that could ever be a problem really.

Why is there no condensation in the bag? How much/often do you mist?

Condensation is from a temp difference inside the bag compared to the outside. Misting is probably the hardest part of growing at first. It’s different for each method and even the same method done in two different rooms would need different amounts of misting.
I’ve never grown in a bag but the ones I’ve seen on here they literally do nothing until harvest. As long as your surface has little water beads it’ll be ok.

Here is what it looks like 3 days later. Nothing happens.
I am resseting the whole thing. I remove al the abords pins. I put the cake back in the plastic box, filled with water. I'll leave like this for a couple of hours. Then I'll put the plastic box back in the bag. (This is the instructions for the second flush).
Here are couple more pictures.

That sucks dude... theres gotta be a remedy for that thing, I mean you got a bag of fully colonized grains right there. I wonder if you could bust it up and spawn it to a proper shoebox and forget that stupid bag?
Why are those pins covered in fuzzy white mycelium? IS that what aborts look like?

That’s weird looking. It sorta looks like the pins aborted and now the myc is growing over them. At first I thought they were just super fuzzy from going through that thick colonization but they don’t look alive.
