Proper Surface Conditions link 👍

I usually see pins around day 14-18 as a high average. Had some Golden Teacher pin on day 9 before though.

Should I have lots of condensation or anything on the walls? I don’t have any, but some fine mist bubbles at the level of my substrate and fine beads all over the surface.

As long as their on the surface. Since there isn't any condensation on the walls I'd say you have plenty of fae. Just leave it be unless the beads on surface disappear. Then light mist but u should be good until first harvest IME.

Weird. How’s your temps? Some condensation should appear due to the temp difference (myc creates heat as it digests the sub).

I guess it would be different if I noticed something else going on besides pinning like further colonization or other growth, but it’s like nothing has really changed in the last day or so.

I’m just leaving it at room temperature, which is 74 degrees and goes down to 72 or so at night. There are little fine beads of condensation at the substrate level you can see in my pictures above, but not pools of it covering the walls.

Am I supposed to be having high levels of humidity right now by spraying if it hasn’t pinned yet? Or is the unmodified bodtek regulating it by the lid and it automatically has the humidity you need? It’s been one week since I spawned and still haven’t pinned yet.

It’d be a miracle if you got pins in a week. Once it starts knotting that’s really all it does, I never notice any extra growth anywhere else once knots form. After a few days the knots will start to grow into mushrooms.
Your surface looks fine in the pics. I’d just leave it alone. Count on another three days til pins probably.

Best advice I can give in the situation is to be patient. If you give your fungi the conditions it wants and the food it wants, then it will likely fruit but at it's time not yours. We are going through a life cycle to get fruits so maybe your fungi thinks I like it right now, I like the nutrients and I have room to expand with no competition, life is pretty good, even the cO2 levels are high so I must be underground.
If all it's doing is colonizing isn't that something you would want to encourage to have the most surface area available to fruit on? When it fruits it's saying I've expanded to the outer layers where oxygen is more present and there is light so I'm going to grow towards that because I want to spread past this physical barrier that's stopping me from expanding under the soil. So with wind blowing moisture away and the moisture being replaced it's thinking it's time to put energy into fruiting. This might be as a last resort to try to get away from an infection (contamination), this might be putting energy into mushrooms to spread, or even again a last resort because the food source is depleting.
It's all part of the fungi's life cycle and worrying that it's taking too long after a week suggests to me you're looking at this less as a living organism with many stages, and more like a production line complaining that some workers aren't working fast enough.
There are lots of reasons why things take longer. Lack of air exchange can slow growth. Poor genetics can slow growth. Contamination can slow growth. Lots of things can slow growth but a week isn't much time as far as fungi are concerned unless you are talking pins to fruits, because there is a reason the expression grows like a mushroom exists.
Best of luck to you and your setup. I believe it will work out well for you as getting clean culture is the hardest part in my belief.

I’m not complaining, I’m just asking questions because I want this to be successful, I don’t want to fail. I want to make sure I do the right thing or know what to plan on doing and be prepared. You think it could got contaminated?

Contamination is unlikely while it is colonized fully until it runs out of nutrients. I suggest just relaxing and follow your tek and not check up on it every 15 mins. I make trays sometimes and leave them to colonize for 10 - 14 days before I start them on fruiting, and even then it can take another week to see pins. But when I see pins things start happening rapidly.
I never thought you were complaining, and I understand we all want our projects to be a success. It's a common joke about new cultivators that they want to see results immediately. Relax, I suspect you'll be fine.

Patience is key. Sometimes the hardest part of this hobby. A friend of mine is in the exact situation. 12 days is his hope of seeing pins and it's been 11 days. All looks good, so just let mother nature do what she does (in her own time). Don't force anything.
