Spawned one week ago, no pins yet??? 1

How does this look to you? I spawned to the mini tub exactly one week ago, but I still have no pinning yet. The block appears to be fully colonized, and when I shine a bright light into it I still see tiny little droplets of water all over the surface, I haven't misted or anything yet. I've just been letting it sit and do it's thing, but I thought I definitely would have pinning by now. I'm doing an unmodified tub, so I spawned straight to fruiting conditions with a 12/12 light dark cycle, and I have the lid set up on the latches to allow the gap FAE. My room temperature fluctuates between 70 and 76 degrees through the day and night. How does this look to you? Do I need to do anything else to initiate pinning? Maybe there's not enough FAE? Or something to do with my room temperatures? Or has it stalled for some reason a week in?

Mist it a bit more, that is going to pin within the next 3 days imo.

Yeah it takes about 9-12 days before I see pins. They look really good btw. Keep it up.

So I need to start misting it with water now? I thought if you still see droplets then the surface conditions are still good...? How much more water should I mist? I don't want it to pool any water. Do you mean just spray the walls?

Do I need to start spraying and misting water?

From the pics it looks like it has low humidity, it looked dry to me. I'd give it a light misting, snap the lid on and check it in 3 days.

What makes it look like low humidity and dry? I'm just wondering for myself. I see tiny droplets on the surface, but I can start misting. How can you tell there's not enough humidity? Since I did an umodified tub and have the lid sitting on the latches for FAE, I need to lock it down now all the way instead after spraying?

If there are beads of moisture on the surface and it's first flush I don't think it needs misted. Maybe a mist to make the beads bigger? You want them to evaporate to induce pinning
You have alot of aireal myc so I'm guessing you should increase FAE

If you just keep doing what you’ve been doing it will pin soon also. Increase FAE when mushrooms start growing. Just my opinion. If you want to give it a little more air now just move the lid slightly askew

That looks great. Lots of knots there, you'll see mushrooms soon.
One week isn't enough time for pins to form. It doesn't get much faster than what you've got.

Whenever I spawned one week ago, I spawned straight to fruiting conditions because I'm doing an unmodified tub tek, so I began FAE from the beginning. My lid isn't latched down, it is sitting on top of the latches, so it already has a gap all around for FAE. Are you saying to actually try fanning it now for more FAE? Should I be increasing my temperatures at all or anything?

Yeah, I guess I thought I would definitely have pins by a week. Now I'm feeling overwhelmed with all these different things that people are suggesting. Even though I'm grateful for the suggestions, I have a feeling to just still leave it alone still for now. It should be maintaining the proper humidity since it's an unmodified tub tek with the self regulating FAE from the lid correct? The inside of the tub has a little condensation at the sides, not a whole lot dripping down the sides or anything, it's a little fine mist of condensation bubbles just barely on the sides and level of the substrate, and then the surface of my substrate has glistening beads all over, it makes the mycelium look wintery and icekle like. At what point or indicators should I start being concerned changing anything in my routine?

Bro I am only a a week ahead of you and I know it's hard but those pins WILL come it took my tub 15 days to see pins. I was worried about the same stuff as you...fae & surface conditions...but if you have both water beads and a inverted lid you got those two departments covered...just dont go doing what I did and mess with the balance too much by cracking the lid and drilling a bunch of holes and missing....
The unmodified tubs work as is! I wish I woulda just listened to everyone telling me that...I wouldn't even mist until after you start seeing those fruits...

You are good to go for now, the less you mess with it the better it will be.
Dont stress about any of that until after the first flush...

My lid isn't inverted though like upside down, I know that's one way to do it. t's sitting on top of the latches to create that little gap. Did you flip your lid upside down?

Dont flip your lid especially now, it may be good for the vegetative myc but not the fruiting myc, and if you end up leaving it off the entire flush it may dry out and stall/abort any pins that were going to reach maturity.

Yup, you are solid on spawn, mist a little and good to go. I usually go for 3 flushes, the first ones way smaller but it's all good.

What is good for vegetative growth? Flipping a lid? But not for fruiting? That doesn't sound right especially since alot of people give their mushrooms more fresh air when they start to produce...
People clearly have plenty of succes by flipping the lid. Bod wouldn't have wrote up a tek on it if it didnt work...he also reccomends flipping the lid as soon as you spawn them up until you harvest them...

IME flipping the lid and just leaving it unlatched are pretty much the same. This is with shoeboxes.
