Top-fruiting jars seem to be sleeping (1-week old, pics)

I set up these small (380ml/0.8 pint) rye jars for top-fruiting a week ago. They are from the same (cube/B+) print but come from different spore-noc'd plates (one a2a transferred two times, the other three). Here is how they looked one week ago (left) and how they look today (right):

Not much is moving and it doesn't seem right..right? There should be at least some effort to come out on top by now? I only see a few super-tiny rhizo-arms poking. Temp is 24C/75F.
When I opened the jars initially, I put some (unprepped) dry verm on top, gave them a super-heavy misting and covered with the bag. Still, I worried they're too dry, with the verm absorbing everything. I then read that some TCs actually drench top-fruiting jars until water pools at the bottom (to be removed if it doesn't reabsorb within a few hours). So I gave them another super-heavy misting 1-2 days after, and sure enough, water pooled almost immediately. This was reassuring and I quickly poured it out and decided not to bother them. Thing is.. they seem asleep.
Should I leave them be or maybe adjust moisture in the verm (as in remove bag or add water)? Or is anything else sus? When I touch the verm surface, it doesn't seem too wet but the fingers get damp and the particles don't move when I shake the jar a little (I guess I shouldn't be shaking it lol).
Some close-ups from today: Jar 1→ Jar 2→

Vermiculite won’t colonize like coir and that layer is way too thick for such a small amount of spawn. Vermiculite is not nutritious to cubensis mycelium, meaning that all it does is crate the necessary conditions for fruiting. That means that pins form under the layer and grow trough out the top. That’s what makes me think the thickness is probably fucking it up.
I also find that top fruiting small amounts of spawn takes a while, and fruiting anything take at 10 days no matter the size. Just be patient.

I case with coir/verm/peat 1/1/2 brought to capacity. I don't like verm by itself it's likely to stay compact and coir holds water better. I'm top fruiting a huge bag of wbs right now. It's taken about a week to colonize the casing but I have primordia everywhere. I misted when I applied the casing and then one time today now that it's about to pin. I have some water pooling in the bottom but not a layer, just some here and there.

Would removing some of the verm be a good idea or should I just wait now and hope for the best (& keeping the verm moist)?

I would just leave them alone. Haven't tried the bag trick you're using but when I cased mine I set it outside for a few hours for a couple nights for fresh air and temp drop. I also cut holes in my bag all over for fruiting conditions. I don't think your verm is going to help or hurt it. These were sprinkled with verm and top fruited. It's a waiting game, things could be happening under the verm you can't see yet.

I've only fruited in jars like four or five times and it always takes a little longer than the other things I have going at same time. I usually fruit in jar when I have leftovers from G2G. Patience. I don't poke and holes in the bag. I do mist it daily tho. Good luck. Happy turkey day friend.

Just an update in case someone stumbles upon this thread. One of the jars has started to grow fruits. The first pin, a sidepin, appeared 10 days after opening. The other (from a very tomentose dish) hasn't fruited, but a tub from the same culture is also barren, so it may be just non-fruiting myc.
The amount of juicy sidepins is depressing. Definitely do not put such a thick layer of verm if you top-fruit jars.
Here is the fruiting jar, 5 days after the first (side)pin:

Thanks for the update! Definitely looks like the verm layer forced those side pins.
Btw, about that plate in your sig, was it clean?? The differing growth, empty space, tomentose vs Rizo , plus pin all make it look awesome
