I am not sure why it happens but I am personally quite grateful for it and I know I am only saying this because I just stopped smoking after overdoing it for a few months again. For me its like an automatic protection from getting hooked on it for years on end, there's a big part of me that wants to do nothing but smoke for the rest of my life and the anxiety is a great motivation to stop for a while and when I'll start smoking again it will hopefully remind me to do it in a way that doesn't influence my life in a bad way.

I was that way in highschool, weed connoisseur, what's even more embarassing is how much i've spent on bongs, my illadelph was like $800 when I got it, the same bong is $1,200 now and you have to be on a waiting list to get one... no thanks. pipes I considered buying when I graduated highschool for $1000 are selling for $50-100k now. it's absolutely insane how wild this market has gone.

Shulgin had only negative things to say about weed, the anxiety and pointlessness was his experience.
Some is dosage related though, and tolerance. People talk about microdosing shrooms here, really with how potent weed is these days if someone isn't used to smoking they should approach it the same way. Otherwise it probably won't be a good experience.

wholeheartedly agree, I took a 6 month tolerance break from just about everything but nicotine, caffeine and sugar. Took a hit of concentrate for my first experience, ended up flushing the wax because I got so paranoid and anxious. I bought a bag of weed a few days later, took a few hits and eased myself in. I've had chronic anxiety for ages though it never really bothered me all too much. I think people just need to realize like you said, this isn't mexican brick weed. it's been specifically breed for psychoactive purity, I took 3 hits this morning out of a chillum and i'm baked 2 hours later. It would've taken me a blunt of reggos back in the day to give me half this pleasure. but If I smoked a joint of this? oof, i'd be coughing my ass off midway through forcing myself to finish and would likely be uncomfortable for a minute until I really sat down and relaxed, and I smoke daily.

I decided to force myself to find benefit in it, so I took myself there and just meditated with the anxiety, really just teaches me how to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations. There is some good to the experience, just Otta do it in the right set and setting, it catches me off guard sometimes because I wasn't using it like I'd use mushrooms, in a spiritual fashion, so it's probably the weeds way of saying hey, you can't use me like this.. I demand respect and hits you with some true potency, that and how it's just ridiculously potent now a days, don't need much of a 28% strain.. it's best to not have your life revolve around weed, rather have weed revolve around your life

What i do nowadays is ill take a hit off of a pipe and blow it out after about 2 seconds. i get high but not high enough to induce anxiety.

Cannabis makes my Autism symptoms way more pronounced, mainly the crippling social a anxiety.
Maybe it's because I have zero interest in the topics most people are consumed by and cannabis brings out that sense of disconnect?
