Fuzzy mycelium or mold???

So I’m relatively new at cultivation in general, I have a bunch of pasty plates in various stages of transfers, I’m using Pastywhyte recipe to a T, noticed especially 7ish days after transfer, most of my plates become very fuzzy and grow raised up off the plate. if you look at closely you can see rhizomes and if you shine a light and look on the back side of the plate it’s sectoring just like normal, it’s just very white and fluffy on top. I’m sure this same question has been asked a million times but can someone with more experience with agar tell me if this is normal. I would also like to note My plates have had a ton of moisture after PCing. I’ve tried cooling the PC at a slower rate and to no avail the moisture is there, usually it takes about a week before the condensation goes away and you can see inside the containers from the sides, I’m using Micropore tape over my GE holes, could this be part of the issue?

Looks good to me
I read somewhere that rhizomorphic mycelium is searching for more food and tomentose mycelium is eating food.
I don't think this is your mycelium trying to escape into the air to a place with more GE.

Oh I see, I’m probably being paranoid I need to chill out. Like I said I’m basically still on my first grow. None of them look off color and like I said sectoring, I just don’t Have enough hands on experience to differentiate. Thank you for taking the time to reply!

So if that’s the case, maybe I could make another batch of plates using less nutes, and maybe pour them thinner? Could that potentially encourage rhizomorphic growth? Maybe that would make it easier for me to differentiate contam from Legit myc?

Looks very normal; nice stuff. If you cut some of the nutrients down itll be more visibly rhizomorphic. It can help with noticing contams a little better for sure. Regardless itll be fuzzyish for the first handful of transfers. Some cultures act a little weirder than others too, so that can play a role too. Happy Thanksgiving!

They are ready for transfer. Take the newest of the growth to new agar

Yeah, that's I heard from a friend - less nutrients on agar can promote faster growth. Cause it's searching for food.
But I don't think tomentose is necesarily a bad thing though. I would still like to see more data and comparisons on it and stuff.

**UPDATE**
Was not mold, I was tripping over nothing. After quite a few transfers and whatnot all my dishes that looked fuzzy look like this now. Also I did try making MEA With the ME cut way down, and poured the plates super thin, I would say it worked well began seeing strong rhyzo within a day or two and some sectoring. Thanks for talking me off the ledge I was ready to toss so many good plates

Yea seriously I guess so, as I said earlier I’m pretty new at this like 3-4mo. I’m still getting a handle on what “normal” looks like and when I should be worried.
