Can dried sclerotia be used to produce more sclerotia ?
    #26349921 - 11/28/19 04:23 AM (4 years, 2 months ago)

I have received a box of 'Magic Truffles' in a vacuum pack, brought from Amsterdam. The expiry date was about 5 days ago, so I dried them because I intend to micro-dose. I was wondering, what would the easiest method (I have no experience whatsoever in growing mushrooms / sclerotia), if possible at all, to produce some more sclerotia from the one that I already have ? I obviously have no experience with cloning on agar. Would  there be a more simple alternative ?

I don't think so, probably best to go with cloning on agar. :<

Good luck, agar is fun.

Highly likely as long as they were not heat dried which i really doubt for Amsterdam truffles

And agar is the really simple way to do the cloning and imo there's really no alternative
