What aspect of the psychedelic experience are you most grateful for? 2

i have come to the realization that i just hate tripping with people. even if its LSD. I am literally my own best friend. Theres nothing better than just being with yourself, with your sense of humor, your thoughts, your intentions, your heart..etc while tripping. There is nobody to distract you from going on long thought journeys only to end up on the other side laughing your ass off because of how silly you are. Theres no distraction, just the best person in the world. You. I love me. I love you. But as individuals. Together we are not fully ourselves. Everyone can pretend they dont have an ego or they dont change in the presence of someone else, but you do. My best friend is myself. It will always be myself. I hope your best friend is yourself, too. Born alone, die alone. I am grateful that i have my sense of humor and i don't need to live with anyone else's. I am grateful for my fears and that i dont have anyone else's fears. I am grateful for everyone that has helped make me who i am. I am grateful that i am not afraid to be alone. i am grateful to experience psychedelics in the depths of solitude. I am grateful for the ability to appreciate being by myself while tripping.
What are you grateful for?

I'm grateful for the friends I've made here at the Shroomery, grateful for the times folks have stepped in to calm me down and hold my hand in real time when a trip went south, and for the first hand knowledge that genuinely reliable people share that safely enhances my psychedelic experiences when trying out new substances or new combinations.

I envy the people who live in the PNW it seems like they are literally tripping over actives everywhere they go. I got a buddy that owns a telecommunications company with a vacant house out there maybe I can get him to let me rent it during the mushroom season

i'm much more of a solo tripper myself and am thankful for the tools psychedelics provide to help navigate my mind. i'm thankful for the relief of anxiety and depression. I don't know how but it's helped immensely with addiction issues. I'm thankful i've found something that helps me enjoy everyday life, has improved my connection with the world, and really allowed me to open myself up to people i'm close to.

if i were to trip with someone, it would be for their benefit, not mine. For instance if me tripping with someone would help them overcome their anxiety of tripping, of course i will take one for the team. But when i am at my best bill oreilly, i am straight chillin. just me and the drug. if its lsd i am taking, i enjoy watching TV such as a big sports game or 60 minutes. I also love watching new south park episodes i havent seen on LSD. i have this whole damn season i havent watched and when i take LSD next i am going to binge watch them and laugh my ass off.

I like this idea Bill.
What am I thankful for with the psychedelic experience? Wow, so much. Definitely agree on being your personal best friend. I definitely understand that. You can be yourself when you're tripping by yourself.
For the psychedelic experience, the feeling of awwww and surrealness, the sense of being connected to Nature, the Stars, other People. The beautiful visual effects on my vision, internal CEV visions, the trippy music-like sounds I hear, being connected to myself and understanding myself better, the unique way it makes me connect with other people, having a moment of unforgettable "Divine Beauty".
Psychedelics are one of the things in the world I am really thankful for. And music, movies, Video Games. Friends too. The top Five really.
Im also thankful for being able to grow my own mushrooms thanks to the knowledgeable people at the Shroomery. Thanks Mushroom Cultivation. Also the Mushroom Hunting forum for giving me the information to hunt cool wild psychedelic mushrooms. This priceless knowledge is what Im thankful for.
Ive put my trust into psychedelics, to not abuse them, to treat them with respect but also to have fun with them.
They have it all. And its a beautiful thing. And Im lucky to experience them.

The answers to problems that plagued me my entire life.
Also inspiration, insight, the incredible wonderful beautiful I've seen and experienced. Mind expansion, returning to childhood, reexperiencing memories, connecting the past and present, enhanced intelligence (on LSD), hallucinated statues, columns and other marble work, hallucinated fields of sky, fun... I would really probably just list everything about the psychedelic experience I guess. But at the very top of my list is problem solving followed by inspiration.
Oh, also being shown what I should do with my life. That's actually probably #2 and inspiration is #3.

huge fan of south park and futurama on lsd, I was re-introduced to psychedelics through a close friend of mine and enjoy the bonding experience. we also do alot of hiking and kayaking together and consume moderate doses of mushrooms on those adventures. but other than him and his wife who are closer to me than my own family, i've never tripped with anyone else(except other people who were tripping at concerts). i've made plans to trip with a few other friends, but I always found a reason to bail, and ended up soloing it instead. I also kind of fear being judged a bit too. I've mentioned a few of my trips to people who have wanted to trip with me and they were pretty much like "you're going to turn into a glass of orange juice" which kinda turned me off of talking about psychedelics with people, and a huge reason I finally created an account here after lurking for ages.

video games are great on LSD. i love killing bitches in halo while tripping. i used to trip with friends in my younger days..say 16-19 yrs old but then they kind of started drinking and going to bars and i was all like "go do you, ima do me" and then i developed a true love for the freedom that tripping by yourself gives. also, the learning. i never even thought about psychedelics as a learning experience until i started tripping alone. im almost thankful my trip buddies moved onto alcohol.
good stuff, LC. i can relate

The ability to simultaneously step outside of myself and rediscover myself. The depth of self-reflection they grant is invaluable and the lessons learned in those states can carry over to everyday life. They harmonize me in a way that is beneficial, eye opening, a source of equanimity, joy and insight I doubt I would have had, otherwise. In a way, they made me grow up.

i dont like tripping with other people because i care about them too much. im always worried if they arnt having fun or if they are having a bad trip or something. a weakness of mine is always trying to make other people comfortable, even if it makes me uncomfortable. that is why tripping alone is just such a huge "ahhh yes" type of thing. i can sit back and say fuck the world for a few hours. if i dont hold a door for someone accidentally and they give me a dirty look, it will bother me for hours. im weird like that.

Yes! the learning! I totally know what you mean. Its almost like you learn how to trip. Over time, you get better and better at it like all things where you start to feel really comfortable tripping. Its a really special thing. Learning is fun, especially while tripping and learning the psychedelic experience just that much more.
I still play Halo 5 myself. Its one of my favorite games growing up tripping on my first weed experiences. Wild times. The trippy worlds, the sci-fi weapons, the crazy action, I love it all and it goes well with psychedelics for sure.
The introspection is one of the most helpful aspects of psychedelics. Like nooneman mentioned, it can help you solve problems in your life if you reflect on the experience in the moment. Its a special feeling to make those revelations while in the expanded mind of Psychedelics. Its a spiritual experience for me. Unforgettable. Ive had similar experiences on other non-psychedelic drugs, but its not the same. Psychedelics give the full spiritual experience. A true gift from Nature and human ingenuity .

its almost like tripping became a girlfriend i visit occasionally. shes always there for me to tell me what i need to do in life, make me laugh, encourage me, have fun..etc. we love chillin together.
cool story...one night in my halo prime for xbox 360..i came home one night after sniffing coke for a few hours. i almost broke the fucking game. first it was like "double kill!" "triple kill!" "killing spree!" "killing frenzy!" "running riot!" "rampage!" then it went to "UNTOUCHABLE!" i was like oooohhh my godddd what did i just do??? my teammates were all freaking out and shit...it was truly a sight to behold.

I was expecting some kind of psychedelic drug involvement there in that story! Also crazy we both enjoy psychedelics and Halo. A sort of rare connection
For me, it feels like Im visiting a alternative version of myself? A "better" version of myself if you will. Like a best friend is yourself but enhanced to a new level.
Another thing I am grateful for with psychedelics is the uniqueness of them all. LSD, Shrooms, Mescaline, Marijuana, DMT, even salvia all have their unique psychedelic experience that is unique but similar to themselves. There is so much variety within the psychedelic experience. Take your pick and enjoy those specific effects. Thank you psychedelics.

yeah, no psychs in that story. just dirty ol cocaine
i feel that way also, like a better more knowledgeable you from the future has come down to show you whats truly going on. thats how LSD is, anyway. the psychedelic girlfriend is more of a mushroom/dmt thing.
i also love the uniqueness of them all. i also love their similarities. im glad lsd feels a little like mushrooms rather than feeling like some shitty deleriant like. Thank you psychedelics is right. When nobody else ever cared, they always did.
