My WBS is too wet!
    #26348667 - 11/27/19 01:45 PM (4 years, 2 months ago)

This is about my 4th time making WBS and it keeps clumping up. I rinse them for about 10 mins then hot soak and dry on paper towels for about 2 hours. Im using pint jars, should I just switch to rye grain ? How do you guys make ur wbs?

It could be the type of WBS. The seeds in some WBS mixtures have high fat content and will clump up regardless of how much you dry them. Have you tried other brands?

Rinse
Pot of water on stove on high, wait for rolling boil
Move to cool burner add your bs
Rinse while straining you can dry on towels but most don’t
Strain for a good 10 mins until no water is coming through
Load into jars
Pc 120 mins
Shake when pressure drops boom
