I'd help psilocybe cubensis?
    #26348506 - 11/27/19 12:35 PM (4 years, 2 months ago)

Hello, found these growing in my front lawn, sloped area in grass with leaves. Noticed them a day ago, so I'd say there about 2-4 days old. Had humid weather slight rain mostly cloudy in virginia. Gills are tan/white. Stem is whitish and bruises brownish also not too hollow. About 2-3 in. Tall and about 1-2 in wide cap on most. any help appreciated. Is it psychoactive?

That may be true, while they are in grass, there was a huge oak tree that used to be near where they're growing, the mycelium probably grew through the soil. Thanks.

Yes, they can grow on buried wood.  Armillaria mycelium is hardy and notorious for the destruction of large plots of certain tree species.  You can often find old myc which appears like black cords/webs running through dead trees.
